Statement earrings composed of a sculptural gold-tone lion head at the top, richly worked with engraved details that emphasize the lion’s mane, facial features and expression. A round turquoise cabochon crowns each lion, accompanied by a small white pearl-like stone on the forehead, dark blue stones at either side and a vivid fuchsia crystal at the centre of the face. Clear faceted crystals extend from the sides like decorative flourishes, adding luminosity to the otherwise sculptural motif.
Suspended beneath each lion is an insect motif, embellished with an eclectic mix of multicoloured faceted crystals—pink, orange, purple, turquoise, blue and yellow—arranged across its wings. A small white pearl-like stone sits at the centre of the beetle, while fine gold-tone elements extend outward to suggest its legs and antennae. At the bottom hangs an irregularly cut natural amethyst, deep purple and organically shaped, providing a substantial final drop.
The different sections are connected by articulated gold-tone links, giving the earrings movement and reinforcing their long, vertical silhouette. The combination of the regal lion, jewel-encrusted insect and raw amethyst creates a highly ornamental, fantastical character.
